Franziska von Karma sat down heavily at the balcony table. It was her first chance to really sit down and relax since her INTERPOL team had arrived in LA three days ago, but as she reflected on the past few days' events, one thought gathered strength until it dominated her focus. Akbey Hicks was dead. Franziska had last seen him in Borginia. He'd been so excited, they'd been closer to the center of the smuggling ring and he had leads in America that he was certain would lead them to their target. He'd been right, but Franziska had learned the specifics of the leads in a debriefing after Agent Hicks' murder, he'd never told her himself.

And then the criminal got away, the end. :3
