Phoenix was sitting at his desk, filling out paperwork. He hummed happily as he wrote, trying to shake off the feeling that something horrible was about to happen...

Maya knocked at the door and flung it open. "Goooood morning Nick!" She had her usual cheesy grin spread across her face. "How're you today?"

"Hey, Maya!" Phoenix smiled at her, taking a break from his paperwork. "I'm great, how are you?"

"I'm good." Maya walked over to his desk and peered at his paperwork. "But... I've been feeling weird all day. I feel like something big is going to happen soon... like World War III!" Her eyes gazed at him seriously, but a smile remained on her face.

Phoenix chuckled, "World War III, eh? Though...I've been feeling odd, too." He frowned in thought. "Do you know where Mia is? Maybe she knows what's up."

"No, I don't. I haven't seen her this morning." Maya shrugged. "Anyway, what's this paperwork? A new case or something?" Her eyes lit up. "It's been a while since I've been in court helping. Being in Kurain Village has made me miss quite a lot."

Mia walked into the office, humming to herself. "Good morning!" she smiled at her junior partner and sister. She noticed the paperwork on Phoenix's desk and picked it up, skimming it. "Ah, you're starting to document last week's case. Good."

"Good morning Mia!" Maya smiled back at her sister. "Last week's case? What happened last week?" Her eyes widened as she immediately took interest.

"Nothing really," Phoenix took the papers back from Mia. "Just a small attempted murder case. It's not a big deal." He laughed as he put the papers into a folder.

"Is that all?" Maya sighed. "I was hoping for something more... DRAMATIC!" As she said the word 'dramatic' she stretched her arms up.

Mia chuckled, "Maya, sometimes DRAMA-" she stretched her arms up as Maya had done, "isn't all it's cracked up to be. It's nice to work on a simpler case every once in a while. If life was all drama, all the time, then it'd get boring." She smiled, and asked, "Have either of you felt like we're going to get drama today? Like the next Pearl Harbor? Or is that just me?"

"Yeah! I've been feeling like that as well!" Maya put her arms down and looked around nervously. "W-what if something bad's gonna happen? I'd rather something good happen... like a lifetime supply of burgers!" Maya laughed quietly to herself and grinned.

"I'd hate to be your doctor," Phoenix sniggered. "And I feel it, too, Chief. I feel as though...someone or something I despise is going to waltz into my life...No one's going to channel Dahlia anytime soon, are they?" He looked scared at the thought.

"I hope no one's channeling Dahlia." Maya shuddered at the thought. "If that happened, we'd all be screwed." She didn't like the thought of Dahlia returning AGAIN. After all, she was the female version of the devil in Maya's eyes.

"Don't worry, Diego's not going to upset Mia to that point today," Phoenix pointed out. "We're safe from Dahlia."
