Turnabout Decaf

"Not really. Both his parents died in a car wreck when he was only 10 years old. He never had any aunts, uncles, cousins, or grandparents either. He began living on his own around the age of 15. Then, he started this Coffee Shop. He said he hid his will there..."

Ema pondered for a moment. "Polly, do you think we should head back to the Coffee Shop to investigate some more? Maybe we can find this guy's will."

That actually sounds like our best course of action...so long as the police haven't nabbed it first. If we do manage to get it however, I believe we'll be one step closer to solving this case.

"Thank you, Mr. Bunt, I'm sorry to have to have been the one to tell you about Oscars passing."

Apollo turned from the man and began heading back to the coffee shop.

When they arrived, it seemed as if the police had finished searching around.
"Ok Polly, I'll search his office and you search any other place where we might find something."

"Hmm... what could be in here..." Ema decided to investigate the area.
"Wait... whats this?" On the drawer of his desk, Ema noticed a bloody fingerprint on the handle. Ema's eyes sparkled. "Oh, what do we have here?" She shouted for Apollo. "Hey Polly, come look at this!"

Apollo heard Ema's call almost instantly. He stopped his searching and hurried over to the office.

I knew the office had better chances than the kitchen...

"Ema? Did you find something?"

'There's a fingerprint on his desk!' Ema took out her fingerprinting tools and analyzed the fingerprint.
"Strange... it doesn't belong to Oscar... It belongs to... Bellboy..." Ema cringed. "I think our client has an alibi..."

Apollo begin to sweat furiously. His hair horns bent forward as he groaned.

"That's usually how these cases go. Everything always looks grim."

Apollo looked at the fingerprint. "Wait...that fingerprint...! It's bloody! Why is the Bellboy's bloody fingerprint on the desk!?"

Something tells me we'll need to have another conversation with our client...

Ema analyzed the blood. "This is strange... the blood isn't from any of the people that work here..."
Ema looked inside of the drawer. "Look Polly! His will! ... Wait... Its blank..."

"...! Just what we needed...Do you think you could figure out who's blood this is before tomorrow? Meanwhile I need to find why this paper is missing it's words...maybe a decoy? I'll keep it just in case..."

"Wait... look at this!" She pointed under the desk, where a key lied. "What's this?" The key had a tag on it, saying life savings. "Wait..." She looked around the office. A safe was laying in the back of the room. A key was needed to unlock it. "I bet any money that this key goes to this safe!" Ema opened up the safe slowly... "I... "Empty!?" Apollo recoiled a little. "That's all we need! The thief made away with all of Oscars belongings, and erased all existence of them!"

Apollo thought. "But...if this theft was successful...why did the killer kill the victim?"

"Maybe he was a witness to the theft! The Kitchen DID have a back door... The thief probably was going to escape through the back, because we were there. If the money in this safe was the money for his will, someone didn't want anyone else to get it." Ema took a look at the will. "Hey... look at this smudge on the paper..." Ema pointed to a bloody smudge on what seemed to be a name on the paper. "What could this mean?"

???: "And just who are you two? I thought I was the only one investigating here." A woman then approached them from behind.

"Maybe you two could explain to me why you're here?"

"A-Ack!" Apollo jumped. He grabbed his chest, stopping himself from having a heart attack. Apollo was about to start apologizing, until he noticed a small glimmer in his eye. He got this glimmer around Klavier too.

Is that...a prosecutors badge? Is she in charge of this case? I knew we shouldn't have come in here! Alright Apollo...play it cool.

"Oh...fancy seeing you here...My name is Apollo Justice. This is Ema."

"That didn't answer my question. I'M the only one that is supposed to be investigating this case. But sense you introduced yourself, I guess I should too. Sonata Baad, Prosecutor of the law. And judging by the way you jumped just then and the way your clutching something in your pocket, I'm guessing you're the Defense."
Sonata suddenly began reading a file, the autopsy report for Oscar Fournier.

"Well, yeah...I guess we're on opposite sides here..." Apollo stepped forward, hoping Ema would pocket any valuable information. "I noticed you were a prosecutor by your badge."

So she is the prosecutor for this case? We got busted, big time...

"And I noticed you were a Lawyer by your actions, Mr. Bracelet. That's right, I know about it. Lets just say that I have your... "Gift" as well... So don't think you can win in the trial tomorrow."

My...gift? T-There's no way! How did she get a copy of my Chords of Steel DVD!?

"Mr...Bracelet?" Oh...she means...ACK! But that's how I win in court!? If my opponent has one too...! We're dead...caught, jailed, and dead...

"Ms. Baad, tomorrow will be decided tomorrow. Until then..." Apollo looked back to Ema. "I believe I have my case to put together. Have a good day." Apollo tried to rush his way out of the office, wanting not to have to say another word to the prosecutor.

Investigation, Day 2.

Ema and Apollo arrived at the detention center.

"Alright, lets just hope that Mr. Bell is in a good mood to talk..."

It's not Mr. Bell that I'm most worried about...I just know the hospital will be off limits to everyone today.

"Right. Let's see if he knows anything about Mr. Bunts accident, or the involvement of Ms. Tiala."

Apollo looked towards the bars, hoping to see his client, and get a few words in.

"Hello Mr. Justice. Thank you for your help in court. I feel as if alot of the pressure has been taken off of me. So what is it you needed to talk to me for?"

"Well, first things first, I'd like to ask you more about Ms. Tiala. Do you have any connections to her? Do you know her through Mr. Bunt, or other ways?"
