Not Alone

"OBJECTION!" Phoenix cried before putting everything he had into his attack. "I gotta win! I'm the Steel Samurai!!!"

"You certainly are..." Miles said under his breath and admired the determination of Phoenix. He is the samurai, and the Samurai always wins. 'Did I just call Phoenix the Steel Samurai? Those sleeping pills must be making me crazy...'

Phoenix continued to slash and punch at the Evil Magistrate, determined to win over evil. "Almost there!" he yelled when he saw the almost empty health bar of the Magistrate.

'THERE' Miles pressed a combination of buttons and unleashed the Pink Summer Moon Ray, blasting off the last portion of his health. The screen flashed, indicating the final double team move is charged and ready for action.

Phoenix smirked as the two lawyers executed the move, and defeated the Evil Magistrate. "TAKE THAT!" he grinned triumphantly.

Miles was panting slightly from the rush of beating the Evil Magistrate. "Wow... THAT was fun... I need to buy more video games...!"

"Yeah," Phoenix happily collapsed onto the couch. "Now what should we do?"

"No idea." Miles smiled and looked over at Phoenix. "But seriously, I can't even begin to remember the last time I had that much fun!"

"Wanna just talk awhile?" Phoenix smiled. "I'm kind of too tired to do anything else. How are you feeling?"

"I'm feeling pretty good. Glad I randomly called you." Miles sat down next to Phoenix and leaned his head back on the couch.

"I'm glad you called me, too," Phoenix stifled a yawn. "I never thought I'd have this much fun with you, Miles."

"Heh... Neither did I." Miles' arm unconsciously snaked its way around Phoenix's shoulders. 'This feels...WAIT A SECOND.' Miles unwrapped his arm and hopped off the couch. "Um... Ssssorry about that...!"

"It's fine?" Phoenix blinked in confusion, unsure of what just happened. 'Did..he...just put his arm...around me?' he wondered, 'But Edgeworth would never...would he?'

"I... guess I sat down a little too close for comfort, didn't I?" Miles sat down further away from Phoenix. "So... How long has the game been out?" He attempted to change the subject.

"Um, about a week," Phoenix replied. 'Why's he so far awayyyyyy?' he inwardly whined, then realized what he had just thought, 'Oh dear...WHAT WAS THAT?'

"Maybe I should get it on the way home..." Miles thought out loud. "Is it for any other console? I don't want to have to buy another system if I don't need to."

"I know they also have it for X-Box 360," Phoenix answered. "What console do you have?"

"Playstation 3." Miles sighed. "Looks like I need to buy a Wii."

"Like you can't afford it," Phoenix teased. "We all know prosecutors get paid peanuts."

"You're confusing prosecutors with detectives again." Miles chuckled. "I just don't like spending money needlessly."

"But it's a Wii, how can you not need it?" Phoenix argued. "It even has its own Shopping Channel where you can buy games. Maya bought the goofiest lawyer game just the other day."

"OK, OK, you win! I'll buy a Wii on my way home!" Miles put up his hands in mock surrender. "What's the name of the game, anyway?"

"Ryuuichi Naruhodo- Ace Attorney," Phoenix answered. "I think it's one of those Japanese games."

"Sounds boring." Miles said. "How could they put our profession into a game and have it translate? It'll never sell."

"Why do you say that?" Phoenix noticed he was slowly edging towards Edgeworth. "It's actually a pretty interesting game."
