"A crowbar?? Your Honor, I'd like it if the crowbar was added to the court record..." Apollo was pulling at strings. Bunt wasn't coming into court, so he had no one to question. So far the court was calm...just what was Sonata planning?

"Erm... yes..."

A crowbar found in the victims office. thought to be used for the robbery.

"And erm... please continue with your cross examination."

"Continue? Well...did we find any fingerprints on the crowbar? Do we know who it belongs to?"

"It turns out... the fingerprints are the Defendant's..."
The court murmurs.

Apollo recoiled as his jaw dropped down once more. "I-It belongs to...the bellboy?!"

This isn't good...

"Your Honor...! We need further information on the crowbar...! I suggest we bring the defendant to the stand!"

OBJECTION!
"Your Honor, clearly the defendant is guilty of theft! If anything, he should be arrested immediately!"

HOLD IT!
"Gloves were found at the scene of the crime! Obviously, the killer was wearing them that night, and therefore, there shouldn't be any fingerprints on the crowbar to begin with! The crowbar was stolen from the defendant!"

"Gah...!" Sonata jerked back, feeling stupid.
"But... what does that prove? He could have been using the gloves the day of the murder!"

"There's only one way to find out what he was really wearing that day, Ms. Baad. And that's by bringing the defendant to the stand!"

Apollo crossed his arms. "Your Honor, I request the bellboy be called to the stand."

"I believe you're right, Mr. Justice. Objection overruled."
Damn you Justice...
"The court calls the defendant to the stand."

Apollo crossed his arms once more, he had a confident grin on his face.

She didn't want this to happen, did she. Looks like that's one step closer towards finding out the truth! But...what to ask him...

"We'd like to ask you a little about what you were doing on the day of the murder. Preferably before work."

"Well, I was preparing for work when I realized that I locked my keys inside of my car.
This happens to me quite often, so I usually keep a crowbar just in case I need to pry open my door.
But strangely enough, my crowbar was missing.
I had to call a cab and get driven to work.
The traffic was terrible, and I was very late.
When I arrived, I walked in to see Mr. Lawyer and my dead boss lying on the ground..."

The Judge gave a nod. "Seems truthful. Defense, you may cross examine the witness."

Damn it Sonata! You have to think of something! He's cutting your plan into tiny little pieces!

HOLD IT!

"Where exactly do you usually keep this crowbar? Is it by your door, or something?"

HOLD IT!

"What does that have to do with anything? He keeps a crowbar in case of car issues!""

"Which happened today! He lost his crowbar early in the morning, or the day before, which means the killer must have planned on robbing Oscar sometime before! If we know the location we can figure out anyone that was in the area, since there were no signs of a break in at his house!" Apollo furiously shouted back.

Dammit... hes putting me on the spot. I'm starting to look like a fool! I need to proceed calmly now if I'm going to win this trial.
"Only someone who knew about what was in the safe could've planned to rob it. The only people who knew were the employees. This puts your client in a tough situation, Hair Horns."
A look of satisfaction lurched onto Sonata's face.

Apollo grinned back. He crossed his arms and shook his head. "I'm afraid this doesn't put my client anywhere. If anything, it makes you look more suspicious! You forget, in my clients testimony, he arrived much later, which means he had no time to rob the safe! The only person who could have done it, is the witness you neglected to tell the court couldn't show up today!"

"Oh, I'm sorry... but do you have any proof?" Sonata let out a chuckle. "Let this court see proof that he indeed arrived late! Let this court see proof that he indeed called a cab! Is that to much to ask Hair Horns?! Try and remember who served your meal that night, for Mr. Bunt was on vacation! And here is MY proof of my statement!"

EMPLOYEE SCHEDULE ADDED TO COURT RECORD

had applied for a vacation for the entire week.~

I DO need proof here...But I'm sure that crowbar is a vital piece of evidence! I need Mr. Bunt in here, and she's keeping me from seeing him! I doubt that car accident was really an accident, but I have to play with what I have...

"Well...uh. He did say in his testimony that he got in late. I didn't think he was lying...! And I haven't see any twitches yet...?"

Apollo was unsure of his answer, and began to sweat because of it.

"Yes Hair Horns, but think for a moment. The only employee available at the time, was none other than the Bellboy! Therefore, he was the only one at the scene of the crime!" Sonata laughed. "I think this case seems pretty closed now. Judge, your ruling pleas...

"HOLD IT!" A shout came from next to Apollo. It was Ema.

"Polly, think for a moment! Is there any proof that there was anyone else in that kitchen? Be sure to check the court record! You need to take one STEP forward in this case!"

The judge came in. "Yes, I do believe that the defense's co-counsel has a point. So, Mr. Justice? What evidence proves that there could have indeed been someone else at the crime scene?"

Apollo struggled to gather himself. The sweat droplets rolled down his face at an increasingly quick pace. This wasn't the first time someone beside him saved him from a guilty case, and he was hoping the last one that happened would be the last time he was saved. But if Ema thought there was something, it was certainly worth a double check.

Alright Apollo...you should have the upper hand in this case. You and Ema got to investigate before anyone else! What did you find!? We found...a pan...and...

"Your Honor, I have proof that there was indeed someone else at that crime scene." Apollo took from his evidence some documents. They listed the footprints of every member, and a footprint that was unidentified.

"You Honor, I found a footprint at that crime scene. A footprint that did not belong to any member on the employee schedule presented to the court!

"GAH!"Sonata jerked around a bit. "I-impossible... How can this be?!" Dammit! I'm at a loss! What do I do now?! "S-so... should we get this footprint identified so we can see whos it is?"

"Already on it!" Ema suddenly has a large machine, currently identifying the footprint. "I AM USING SCIENCE."

"Can you really get the results so easily?" It was obvious Apollo was more than sceptical. "Wouldn't the court normally have to send these off to the forensics?" Justice, she might as well BE forensics...but I really could use a recess...

"Your honor, I say we allow these tests to be done."
(And now we have a legit Judge, so he can step in if he feels like)
