"Alright Ms. Skye. whose footprint is it?" The Judge asked in anticipation.

Ema looked at the monitor, shocked to see a familiar face.
"Polly... I-its her! From the Kitaki case!"

Wait? Alita? Didn't we already know that...? Guess that's just another thing to turn the judge on our side. He always was one for giant spectacles in court, and I don't mean Ema's glasses...

"Exactly what I've been going at, Ms. Baad."

If you don't want to give me my witness, at least we can bring someone else in, let's see if I can hold on until recess...

"Your honor, without bringing Ms. Tiala to the stand, it's impossible to call an absolute verdict!" He brandished his finger once more.

Sonata shuttered. "Your honor, I request that we go into recess, long enough for me to continue my investigation on this woman we have discovered to be at the scene of the crime."
"The Prosecution has a point. Mr. Justice, are you alright with this?"

Alright with a recess? It's a blessing!!

Apollo put on the act. He thought about it for a moment, trying to break the prosecutions will. He glared at Sonata, thinking he had it all but won. He continued to stare until he realized the entire court was waiting on him for an answer. He snapped out of his fantasy and began to sweat bullets.

"Not a problem, Your honor...!"

"Alright. I find the court to go into a 24 hour recess." The judge slammed his gavel.

The second day of the trial arrived. The court went through its usual briefing and the judge asked Sonata for a witness.

"The prosecution calls Ms. Alita Tiala to the stand."

Apollo nodded to Sonata's statement.

She's one of the three people we haven't had much time to speak with. But she's also the only one I have a real question for. Just why did her footprints show up in the kitchen on the night of the murder? Something I'll need to figure out while this court is still in session

Alita arrived on the podium.

"Your name and occupation please."

"I'm Alita Tiala, I am currently unemployed."

"Alright, the prosecution wishes to hear the witness' testimony about the night of the murder."

Alita nodded.

WITNESS TESTIMONY: The night of the murder.

"Well, I was sitting at home doing nothing, really.
I decided it would be fun to pay Sesam a visit at work.
I walked into the kitchen and he wasn't there.
So I left."

Apollo pressed his right hand against his chin, letting his thumb scrape underneath his chin. He pondered to himself about her testimony.

I didn't see her at the restaurant either...so many people, and I thought we were alone...

"HOLD IT!" Apollo shouted half-way through her statement. "When would you say you arrived at the restaurant?"

"Hmm, I think I arrived around 11:00 pm. Something like that."

(I forgot to mention that both tapes took place at 10:58. Don't forget, Alita drove Mr. Bunt to the Hospital!)

"And when you arrived at 11, where exactly did you look for Mr. Bell?" He kept his index finger on his forehead, thinking to himself.

Alita angled her face to the floor. "The kitchen..."

The court starts to murmur as the Judge slams his gavel.

"The kitchen..."

I didn't think it would be this easy for me to get her to spill it...considering how much of a pain she was last trial...

"And what exactly did you find in the kitchen when you went to look for him?"

"Objection!" Sonata shouted.

"In the witness' testimony, she stated that she was looking for Mr. Bunt only, so she wouldn't be paying any attention to the crime scene! Henceforth, she wouldn't know if anything was there!"

"Objection!" Apollo brandished his finger back towards the prosecutor.

"For lack of a better reason, I've yet to see any details on the time of the murder. I'm asking to know if the body was present or not!"

"Objection!" Sonata retaliated.

"If she had seen the body, it would have been noted in her testimony! Anyone who would have seen a dead body in front of them would be in complete shock!"

Apollo's elbow recoiled.

I guess it is pretty important to leave out...even the judge would have noticed. Eventually...

(I have to admit it's been too long. I'm totally lost.)

"Mr. Justice, remember that we were visiting Mr. Bunt in the hospital. Ms. Tiala stated that she accidentally hit him and drove him to the hospital... therefore... The witness' testimony is false! If she had been there at the time of the crime, she would have seen a struggle of somekind, however, she wasn't even at the crime scene, as she was at the hospital with Mr. Bunt!"

"GAH!" Alita flinched.

"Also to be noted, the time she had hit him was at 10:58. The murder was at 11:00! This gives the witness an alibi... That she didn't even witness the crime!"

"T-That's right." Apollo admitted.

Alright Justice, head in the game! If Miss Tiala didn't commit the murder than it must have been someone else...someone who wanted to pin the crime on Miss Tiala. But who could hate her that much? I have an idea, but I'd hate to see her get taken away.

"Your honor" Apollo shouted. "If it's alright with the prosecution, I'd like to call another suspect to the stand."

"I will accept the defense's offer . Is the prosecution able to accept this new witness?"

Sonata Nodded.

"Then please, call your next witness up Mr. Justice."

Here we go, Justice. The main event. There's only been one person involved in this entire case that I haven't gotten a chance to speak to. If Ms. Tiala's acting is good enough to shed real tears, we might be in trouble, but if not, her little spout yesterday was enough for me to think that there was someone else behind the wheel of fortune tonight.

Apollo smiled, confident that he was getting what he wanted, until he remembered his slight conversation with the blond-haired beauty just a day ago. She...knew that she was set to appear in court...this whole thing could have been a set up! I was worried about all the little traps, only to stumble into this big one! But...if that's the case, why didn't my bracelet react? The only logical explanation is to bring her in...but...why didn't she appear already? Did Ms. Baad want me to call her? Is this how it was supposed to happen?

Apollo swallowed his fears and decided to go with his gut feeling. "Your honor, the defence calls Melody Athens to the stand!"

The court proceeded with its usual proceedings for a new witness. Then, Melody had arrived on the stand.

Sonata calmly looked at the witness. "Alright witness, please state your name and occupatiobn."

Melody just stared as two hummingbirds began to fly around her. "...Oh, is this the part where I introduce myself? My name is Melody Athens, Im a student at the Academy of Visual Arts. Is that a good enough explanation, Mr. Judge? ♥"

The judge stared in awe. "M...My you are such a beautiful young lady. I'm starting to question why you're even on the stand, miss. B-but yes, that was a good enouh explaination."

"Thank you, Mr. Judge. ♥"

Sonata slightly shook her head. "Now please, tell us what you had witnessed at the scene of the crime."

"Well, I was applying for a job at the shop because I needed a little extra money to pay for my dorm bill."
"While I was there, Mr. Bellboy had gone inside the kitchen to talk to Mr. Oscar ♥"
"I also saw Mr. Bunt arriving at the Cafe after I had arrived."
"That's all little old me can seem to remember. ♥"

So wait...since was did all that happen?!

Apollo begin to sweat, until a thought came to him.

"HOLD IT!" He shouted. "Are you sure that Mr. Bell, Mr. Fournier and Mr. Bunt were there? All in the time span that you were at the cafe?"

"Yeah, why do you ask? ♥"
