An Average Day At Work

"Great," Phoenix smiled. "Wanna come interrogate Ron with me? It could be fun, maybe I can see you use that bracelet."

He looked down at his bracelet. "You mean...my bracelet?" He asked, wondering if it would help him in things such as interrogations. He nodded seriously and entered the room with Phoenix at his side. "I'm ready whenever you are Mr. Wright."

"Alright, Apollo. Just don't get too overexcited. Mr. DeLite is very...fragile," Phoenix told him cautiously. "I trust you can handle yourself accordingly?"

"I'll be sure not to be too demanding." Apollo waited by the bars, but not as close as usual. He was prepared for the witness, and prepared to handle them in any way he had to, be it calmly, or any other way.

"Pretend like you're talking to Trucy. An eight year old, timid Trucy," Phoenix advised. "Mr. DeLite? It's your defense team."

He smiled at Mr. DeLite behind the bars. "My name is Apollo Justice, I don't think we've met. It's nice to meet you Mr. DeLite."

Eight year old...its just like talking to an eight year old...master criminal. An eight year old master criminal.

"IT WASN'T MEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Ron DeLite wailed loudly. "PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE SAVE ME!!"

Apollo quickly jumped and covered his ears. "Mr. Wright? Is that normal?" He asked quietly while Ron inhaled, ready to scream again.

If this is our client, I have no idea how my ears are going to come out of it alive...

"Yes, it is," Phoenix chuckled. "Please calm down, Mr. DeLite. I know you're innocent." He looked over at Apollo.

He nodded happily. "We both know you're innocent Mr. DeLite. And we're going to fight until we can prove it. We'll find who killed your wife, and then we'll...well...we'll bring him justice!"

Settle down Apollo...Don't start sounding like a maniac

"Mr. DeLite," Phoenix smiled warmly at his defendant. "Please, tell me everything. You know you can trust me, even if my new assistant looks even shadier than the last," he laughed aloud.

Shadier!? Who wouldn't love me? I'm short...wearing red...I have horns...erk! I guess I answered my own question.

Right. We need to know your story so we can get started on the investigation.

"PLEEEEEEEEEEEEASE DON'T LOOK AT MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE LIKE THAT!" shrieked Ron DeLite. "IT'S SAAAAAAAAAAAATAN!" He cowered in fear.

Apollo backed up a little in fear of the supersonic sound being emitted by Ron DeLight's voice. "No! You've got it all wrong...I'm not Satan I just...I'm not Satan. I'm your defense attorney...'s assistant for today.

What have I started. Think back to the simpler life, when it was just Polly...

"AHHHHHHHHHH!" Ron DeLite screamed more. "MR. WRIGHT, SAAAAAAAVE MEEEEEEEEEE!"

"Mr. DeLite, please calm down!" Phoenix pleaded. "Let's talk about this case!"

He looked over at Mr. Wright. "Hey, Mr. Wright...do you think I should wait outside or something? I dont think he's very calm around me.

The glares! They hurt!!

"Sure, go ahead," Phoenix smiled. "Just don't take any candy from strangers, Polly. I got this."

He sighed as he stepped out of the room and sat on the side of the road. It was normal considering Phoenix was the defense attorney, while he was just Satan, ruler of all that is unholy and evil. Put he knew there was no way he was parting with his horned friends.

Mr. Wright, you should know how expensive candy is these days, of course I would take it, I'm more worried about just getting shot in the head

Phoenix came out a short while later, smiling as he put away his notebook. "Well, I got information from him," he approached Apollo. "Wanna head back to the office and see if Mia's there?"

Apollo nodded and got up, following Phoenix back to the office. "I dunno. Wasn't she supposed to be out today? I'm more concerned about Trucy. You think she's alright?"

"She probably is," Phoenix shrugged. "But Mia's been under so much stress, I think we should go check on her. That, and I wanna question her about her time with Edgeworth."

"You dont think there's anything going on between them, do you?" He shrugged and continued walking with him. "Can I see those papers Mr. Wright? I'm kind of interested about what Mr. DeLight had to say..."

"Sure thing," Phoenix handed Apollo the notebook. "You can read while we head back to the office."

He brushed over the pages and paused at occasional moments. "Mr. Wright, this entire page just says 'please' over and over again...Did he really just..."

And I thought I delt with whack jobs in my cases...

Mia was sitting at her desk, looking over Phoenix's cases that he left lying about. She groaned, unable to focus with all the clutter, and walked over the couch. She kicked off her heels and curled up on the couch, watching the news.
